Gmail Shelfies and Pokemon Maps: Google's Prank

On the day of April 1,everyone is enjoying April Fool day with making pranks and other thing. Google a largest firm in IT market, always come first on this April Fool day with its new pranks every year. This time Google came with a unique sense of humor and apparent prank on this April 1.

                           



Last year, Google released "Google Nose"- a sniff search system that was a prank but few people believed on it. This year,Google is starting this day with a silly but funny prank by "Pokemon Master" and "Gmail Shelfies Theme". A video is posted by Google Map's team as Google announced that it is creating a new position with in the Google Maps team as "Pokemon Master".  Google has populated its Google Maps app on Android and iOS thus it planned this with the various "Mons" from Pokemon.

                                

When any user launch the Google Map App and start typing in search bar, they will see a blue Poke Ball with Press Start written next to it. Then map get zoom in on Japan's location and screen is populated with "Nintendo's Pokemon". As user scroll through the Map, a Pokemon game will start. When they can tap on a Pokemon and trap it in a Poke Ball. User gets to see a PokeDex entry then a Pokeball marks the spot on the map where they caught it.

                           



On the other hand, where Google Map is making fool to users, Gmail launched a new service to its user. Gmail is not making any prank on 1st April with its "Shelfie Background". When custom themes launched in 2012, Gmail team find a way to make "user's perfect image and make Gmail their own". In Gmail's Shelfies theme, user can set their own image as Gmail custom theme which is now referring to as selfies.

Most of the people spend their time on gmail to checking mails, writing mails and all. Now you can set your own selfie and your best pics of your family, friend as your gmail theme mostly girls, who love to see their "Shelfies" as their Gmail theme. So enjoy reading, checking and writing emails while seeing your shelfies in the background and enjoy "Pokemon Google Map" on April Fool Day.
